A: Richard Cole has over 30 years of full-time experience as a professional comedy hypnotist, (It’s all he does! Entertain people!!) performing across Canada and the U.S.
Q: Is he certified and insured?
A: Yes — he’s fully certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), Ontario Hypnosis Centre, and the World Hypnosis Network insured, and follows professional safety and ethical standards. He also has full insurance for events.
Q: What kinds of events does he perform at?
A: Richard performs at corporate events, conferences, theatres, festivals, colleges, private functions, and holiday parties.
Show Length
Q: How long is the show?
A: Standard shows are 60–90 minutes, but 45-minute and even 30-minute sets are available depending on your schedule.
Q: Can the show be adjusted for my event type?
A: Yes! The performance can be customized for your audience and timeframe — whether it’s a team meeting, gala, or full theatre. We can also add an intermission
Q: Is there audience participation?
A: Absolutely. Volunteers become the stars of the show in a safe, hilarious, and unforgettable experience.

Q: How much does it cost to book the show?
A: Professional packages start at $2,200 CAD, with options to fit different event sizes and budgets.
Q: What’s included in the booking fee?
A: The fee covers performance, setup, insurance, travel (in some cases), and any customization for your event type.
Q: Do you offer discounts or packages?
A: Yes — multi-show bookings, off-peak events, or not-for-profits may qualify for a custom rate. Just ask!

A: Offstage, Richard is a passionate entertainer, proud Canadian, and lifelong lover of comedy, music, and magic. He enjoys road-tripping between shows, relaxing with his family, fishing and NASCAR.

A: Richard started in musical theatre and magic at a young age. His fascination with the mind led him to hypnosis, where he blended his comedy and performance background to create unforgettable shows.

A: Yes — Richard Cole proudly serves as the Canadian Ambassador for the International Stage Hypnotists Association (ISHA), representing professional hypnotists across Canada on the world stage.

A: Absolutely. September 2024, Richard was honoured as Stage Hypnotist of the Year by the Michigan International Conference, recognizing his exceptional live performances and contributions to the art of comedy hypnosis. He has also received Canadian Business Awards, recognition from the Canadian Government as well as local business awards including “Quinte’s Best Adult Entertainment” (HAHAHA! That was an interesting story!)
